Missoni, the Italian fashion house known for quirky patterns, is diversifying their style to much more than just clothing. They’ve recently been collaborating with many companies and are striving to become a lifestyle brand. Already having invaded major department such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, prepare your eyes for a kaleidoscope scene; bright swirls, stripes, florals, and zigzags lead way to their almost pop art style.
Starting July, Neiman Marcus will exclusively sell Bugaboo strollers designed by Missoni themselves for all you parents out there. The sun canopy holds the vibrant pattern and will let your baby begin style early. Fashion icon Rachel Zoe was already caught rocking one while shopping!
Taking the idea of lifestyle products one step further, they’ve signed an agreement of a lifestyle hotel chain and should have 30 hotels in the works by 2011. These hotels are an experience within themselves, being at nothing but a five star luxury level. These hotels are perfect for “People who are well travelled, independent, design aware and share the brands passions about life, style and comfort. Style without show. Comfort with style.” Reviews for the open hotels are flooded with 5’s; this place seems like a must stay in.
Word around the avenue is that Missoni is creating a line with Target that should be out in Fall, and this line will include kitchen wear, clothing, and bedding so prepare your eyes! Intertwining architecture, fashion, and home decoration, Missoni is attempting to get their name all over the spectrum of ascetics.
